Robb Navrides is a supervising sound editor, guitarist and educator. He is currently the supervising sound editor for ABC’s “Conviction”, TNT’s “Rizzoli and Isles” and A&E’s “Six”. He is also an adjunct professor at  the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) School of Cinematic Arts.  Navrides combines his contemporary, jazz and classical music training with his considerable experience in sound to enhance his work. His versility is exhibited in thousands of television episodes.

Robb is a native of Southern California.  He was introduced to the guitar the age of twelve and was soon playing in rock and jazz bands.  His musical influences come from iconic guitarists: Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Andres Segovia, Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino.  He studied extensively with the legendary guitar instructor Ted Greene, Eddie Arkin and Richard Taesch.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees from California State University, Northridge.  Robb and his long time friend Richard Taesch created the “Creative Guitarist Series” of six instructional books distributed by Ernie Ball Publications.

After college, Robb was introduced to film Scoring by the late Earle Hagen (Andy Griffith Show, Dick Van Dyke Show, M*A*S*H*).  For two years he held the position of staff composer at M.G.M./Columbia Pictures where he honed his craft composing music for hundreds of television episodes and feature films created for foreign distribution. While working at Universal Studios Robb scored the Universal Television and Digital Theater System (DTS) logos.  He has also contributed his compositions to television shows such as Law and Order and Desperate Housewives.
